Project Aim: to increase the access to quality education for children and adults, particularly women, through the availability of electricity, from renewable sources, in school infrastructures

The specific purpose of this action is to increase the access to quality education for children and adults, particularly women, through the availability of electricity in school infrastructures, trough the installation of solar energy systems in 53 classrooms and 4 support rooms for the management of schools in the districts of Caué, and Lobata Lembá.
Following the problem analysis developed, the project was developed to act upon 3 complementary sectors: education, energy and employment and training. Thus, 3 expected outputs were established:

R1. Physical conditions for the use of school facilities improved, through the installing of solar panels;
R2. Capacity of teachers strengthened and educational activities promoted to enable the use of new infrastructural capabilities; 
R3. Income generation and sustainability promoted arising from the maintenance and installation of solar energy systems and related activities (R3).

Beneficiaries of the project:

- Direct: 1,717 Children and young people with access to improved education by the introduction of solar energy in the rooms, of which 860 are girls; 3028 high school students with access to improved secretarial services; 204 Teachers and Members of Governing Bodies of Schools with access to improved secretarial services;
- Indirect: 22,836 community members.
